CRITIQUE Virtual Roundtable Decolonising Research

Participants will reflect on what decolonising research involves from within their own disciplines, focusing on the challenges such efforts face. They will also comment on the risks associated with a discourse of decolonising research if it becomes de-coupled from discussions about material redistribution, reparations, and land sovereignty. Last but not least, they will critically assess situations where arguments in favour of decolonising research get co-opted by dominant institutional actors within universities in the Global North.
