Unlocking sustainable public food procurement’s transformative potential: does the policy mix hold the key?
Public Food Procurement policy can drive food consumption and production towards greater sustainability, delivering social, economic, environmental and health benefits. This talk will identify barriers to realising the potential of Sustainable Public Food Procurement (SPFP), and outline a ‘policy package’ of instruments to maximise the effectiveness of SPFP and capitalise on its transformative potential. .
