Turkey's Healthcare Paradox

Category
Seminar Series

Date & Time

24 November 2pm - 4pm

Venue

Violet Laidlaw Room, Chrystal Macmillan Building

Description

The seminar investigates how the adoption of an internal market model for healthcare provision at the macro-level has influenced patient experiences at the micro-level in Turkey.

It prompts a critical re-evaluation of the widespread assumption that private health sector involvement is a one-size-fits-all solution for achieving Universal Health Coverage, without thoroughly assessing its real-world impacts and limitations.
