Description
Art Exhibition: Aesthetics of One Health
What happens when you put Syrian artists and Syrian women from the Syrian Women's Association together to discuss traditional agricultural production and intergenerational transmission? This is what the Aesthetics of One Health project part of the One Health FIELD Network, founded by Professor Lisa Boden, set out to do. The end result brought together both visual and musical creations, a mix of paintings and musical pieces.
In celebration of Refugee Week 2025, come join us at the Chrystal Macmillan Building Foyer, The University of Edinburgh for a vibrant showcase of Syrian agricultural heritage through art and music. Speakers will guide you how the whole process came to be and will include:
- Rami Magharbeh, a Syrian artist affiliated with Douzan Art and Culture
- Dr Ann-Christin Zuntz, British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow, School of Social and Political Science
- Professor Lisa Boden, head of the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies
