What is the place of AI in contemporary anthropology? How does the arrival of generative artificial intelligence and the prevalence of large language models in our social and cultural environments, not least the university, impact our teaching and our research as anthropologists? This Friday Seminar is dedicated to exploring some of the provocations that generative AI offers contemporary anthropology. We do so as a subject area, inviting our staff and students to come together to think, speak and explore together.
